WELCOME TO TARGET TRAINING

 TARGET TRAINING is dedicated to optimizing performance and improving technique of Irish dancers through physical and cognitive training specific to their art.  

Long time competitive and professional Irish dancer and instructor, Ellen G. Waller has dedicated her life to Irish dance. Her talent as a dancer has led her to perform for thousands across the globe and her passion as an Irish dance instructor has influenced innumerable young dancers.
 
As a world class dancer, Ellen recognized the unique physical and mental challenges encountered by all Irish dancers. Determined to break the barriers young dancers and athletes inevitably encounter, she returned to school armed with an undergraduate degree in Dance Education, to complete her Masters of Science in Exercise Science and received her National Academy of Sports Medicine certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist. 
 
Coupling her in-depth experience as an Irish dancer/instructor with her expansive knowledge of kinesiology, Ellen created the innovative TARGET TRAINING program: a series of courses and advanced training methods that condition specific muscles Irish dancers of all ages need to excel.  “Developing the complete dancer has always been a passion of mine,” Ellen says. “Through the TARGET TRAINING program, dancers are able to optimize performance, improve technique, prevent injuries, overcome physical and mental challenges, and perform at an elite level. Our students target their goals, train to achieve them, and transform into confident, strong athletes.”
